The ghosts of 2 Christmas defeats were partially dispelled as the Boars gained a valuable 3 points against mid table Westfield. Eversley continued their excellent recent form with a hard fought victory over Cobham F C. Starting with an unchanged team for the first time this season, another slow start saw the visitors dominate the early proceedings with Richard Shelley turning over a fierce drive from the dangerous Lawrence and then a one on one from the same Cobham striker. Former Morris Man Dances A Tune For The Old Boars!

Chobham Burymead Vets  2  v  5  Eversley strollers

A virtuoso performance from former Yateley Morris Dancer Gerald Donaldson inspired the Strollers to the top of the table with a man of the match performance. A goal from Donaldson himself, one from Jason Walkington, one for Stephen Morris and two (yes two!) for Jon Underwood saw off the home side in an entertaining encounter.

Asked why Morris dancers wear bells after the game Donaldson had the players in stitches by replying ” so they can annoy blind people as well!”
