Kris Hatton was today’s Keeper with the excellent Ben Clark filling it at right back and Jordan McGill back at Left midfield the team was otherwise unchanged from the weeks previous excellent 3-0 win over Staines Lamas.

Rorie Palmer was a fresh face joining the squad who was going to bring some pace and skill from the bench.

The warm up was slightly lack lustre and the players were told this but responded in the right way starting the game a little slowly but getting stronger and stronger after the first 10 minutes.

Josh was causing problems upfront and Woodsy was starting to run the midfield, Warnock Oz, Gary Rogers Oz and Ben Clark were defending our goal and nullifying Ranynes Park three forwards.

We had the intelligent Jon Lloyd who was playing well but very vociferous about matching up our opponents 4-3-3 formation but I felt we weren’t working hard enough and Lloydy and Woodsy were capable enough of dealing with their midfield, the opportunity came and Josh was put clean through only to be brought down by the keeper who was sent off. Raynes Park put an outfield player in goal and Woodsy slotted the penalty home before half time.

At half time We were happy as a squad to be 1-0 up and understood we would have to work harder as team against a good,  hard working 10 man Raynes Park Vale by using the width and making the pitch very big.

Raynes Park started second half very well but we managed to get the ball and keep it for long periods and start to play in the opposition half and a fine finish by Josh Mays-Wright made it 2-0.

The introduction of Chris Payne, Rorie “how quick” Palmer and Pat Loffler re invigorated and brought renewed energy to the side and soon we were 3-0 up with a fine finish from the edge of the box from Chris Payne.

Stuart Woods finished off a fine move with Jordan Mcgill to add a fourth and a good day for Eversley Reserves

Next game Warlingham at Home

A great start for the reserve team, the side included 3 x youth team players that flourished throughout the game.

We came up against a diligent Farleigh FC side that could play football were physical and put the effort in for the whole 90mins plus.

We scored a fantastic goal after about 15 mins finished off by some great footwork and finish by Jason Palmer, we settled into our rhythm but this was broken by farleigh putting us under pressure and putting some great balls into our box which we struggled to clear, a couple of great saves by Rhys kept Farleigh from taking control and with the leadership of mark Warnock we started to deal with the 20 minute onslaught.

Second half was all ours with Harry getting 2 fantastic goals and Josh Wright completing the emphatic win. A clean sheet for the immaculate back 5 a high tempo’d hard working midfield lead by Chris Payne and electric fwds saw us dominate possession and the second half.

Everybody worked hard for each other and a fantastic spirit saw us through our first official test
