With runaway league leaders Guernsey defeating both Staines Lammas and 2nd place Bedfont Sports this week, Eversley closed the gap on Bedfont to two points with a comfortable victory at home to Frimley Green.

Eversley Travelled to last year’s league winners last Saturday and having gone 7 league games unbeaten confidence was high. Start fast and score early was the message from the changing room but the first 20 minutes everything that could go wrong did as we didn’t make things easy for ourselves.

Eversley reached the second round of the League Cup with a hard fought victory over last seasons league champions. The visitors started the better of the two teams and took the lead in just 5 minutes with the home defense caught square.

The Boars made it 4 wins from their last 5 league games moving up to 5th place in the table in the process. The victory was one of hard work and efficiency on a very poor playing surface that made this a toil to watch for the footballing purists.
