Eversley Football Club has roots dated as far back as 1910 and is one of Hampshire’s oldest affiliated clubs. For a number of years the club was managed and administrated by members of the local community, who ran the club during the mid and late nineties.

Since the current committee took over 13 years ago, the club has come a long way. After spending the majority of seasons in the Aldershot & District League, winning the occasional piece of silverware, our 1st XI and Reserves eventually progressed (in 2005) to the Surrey County Intermediate League.
.
The club has continued to aim high and has always been ambitious. In 2008 our application to join the Surrey Elite Intermediate League for its inaugural season was accepted and the impact was instant. Under the control of a new management team our 1st XI went on to win an unforgettable League and Cup double.
In the same season our Reserves narrowly missed out on first place in the League after only losing once all season, but success for them came with a double Cup triumph.
.
Our achievements in the 2008/09 season enabled us to gain promotion to the Combined Counties League Division One and be part of the National Football League System for the first time in our history. This was a fabulous accomplishment for a small village club but is certainly just reward for all the hard work that has gone on over the years behind the scenes by the various people involved.
.
Prior to 2009 the club had never really had a ground or a pitch that it could call its true ‘home’ and spent the previous 8-9 years moving between various local authority owned pitches located away from the village.
In 2002 we joined forces with California FC (a Junior Football Club) and Eversley Cricket Club (one of the oldest cricket clubs in the country) to form the Eversley Sports Association (ESA). The aim of the ESA was to plan and implement the development of additional sports facilities on land leased from RMC Aggregates (now Cemex), and provide common services to the participating three clubs.
.
It was been a long time coming but the new ground and facilities were finally completed in July 2009 and are magnificent. The many years of hard work and effort have really been worth while and we are incredibly grateful to the ESA committee for all the time they have spent, and continue to spend, on this community project. We now have a recognised ground to call ‘home’ and fantastic new changing room and clubhouse facilities all finished to a high standard.
.
Last season we received many compliments from opposing teams, match officials and supporters in respect of our playing surface and facilities, and further accolade came when we were then nominated for ‘FA Ground of the Year’ for Steps 5 and 6.

As we aim to revive the local support the club received in the past we have recently re-introduced the traditional pre-season trophy game against local rivals Finchampstead FC, this was a long standing tradition and something the current committee is keen to continue with every year. Despite our long history our biggest success has come in recent years and we are working hard to make sure this continues. By striving to perform to the highest standards on and off the pitch our ambitions and aspirations are something we hope will make the village of Eversley proud of.
